The Sharing Helps...
Give Our Kids a Voice

Cleft lip and/or palate is one of the most common birth defects, occurring in 1:700 babies. Many babies face years of surgery and orthodontic work, as well as needing extensive help with their speech.

CleftPALS Australia is a national support group for these children and their families. We are entirely volunteer based and are now seeking your support.

Please join us to lobby the Federal Government to improve availability and access to speech services for our children. Write a letter, contact your local Federal Member of Parliament or sign one of our petitions.

For more information call 02 9294 8944 or visit www.cleftpalsnsw.org.au

Your support is much appreciated - every voice makes a difference.

MOST importantly contact your local parliamentarian and share the need for better access to Speech Therapy for Cleft children. Your personal contact in doing this will make the impact. Current government sessions provided are inadequate and time deficient. Emphasising the importance of having it available at the crucial time in a child's life to allow normal life skills development filled with self confidence. Costly alternative to do private sessions and not affordable by some parents and should not be a burden to be given to others to ensure their children have available services to grow and develop.

With your help in this area CleftPALS can make a difference.
